How to Create and Deliver a Digital Lead Magnet Automatically

The most valuable asset in your online business is not your product; it is your email list. But in today’s world, people do not just give away their email address for free. You have to trade them something of value, a Lead Magnet.


A lead magnet is a free resource (like a PDF guide, a cheat sheet, or a mini-video course) that solves a specific problem for your dream customer.


In GetWealthStack, delivering this lead magnet is completely frictionless. You can build a simple "Squeeze Page" to collect the email, and use our built-in automation to deliver the free gift to their inbox instantly. Here is how you build this automated lead-generation machine.


Phase 1: Building the Squeeze Page

Your Squeeze Page has one single goal: to get the visitor to enter their email address in exchange for your lead magnet.


Step-by-Step Setup:


  • Navigate to Funnels: In your GetWealthStack dashboard, go to the Funnels tab and open the funnel where you want to collect leads (or click Create to start a new one).

  • Add a Squeeze Page Step: Click + Add Step on the left-hand menu. Name it "Lead Magnet Opt-in" and select Squeeze Page as the step type.

  • Select a Template and Edit: Choose a clean, high-converting template. Click Edit Page to open the visual builder.
  • Configure the Opt-in Form: Ensure your page has a Form Input element set to collect 'Email'.
  • Set the Button Action: This is crucial. Click on your main call-to-action button (e.g., "Download Now"). In the left sidebar settings, ensure the Action when button clicked is set to Send form. After that, choose where they should go next (usually To the next step, which is your Thank You page).

  • Save Changes: Click Save Changes and exit the editor.

Phase 2: Automating the Delivery

Now that you are collecting emails, you need to tell the system to automatically email the lead magnet to the subscriber.


Step-by-Step Setup:
  • Access Automation Rules: Click on your Squeeze Page step in the left-hand menu. Then, click the Automation rules tab at the top.

  • Add the Trigger: Click Add rule and select Funnel step form subscribed. This means the automation fires as soon as the button is clicked.
  • Add the Action: Click on the newly created rule to open it. Click Add action and select Send email.

  • Draft the Email: A pop-up will appear. Click the + icon to create a new email.
  • Add Your Link: Write a short, welcoming email. Highlight some text (e.g., "Click here to download your guide") and use the hyperlink tool to paste the URL where your PDF or video is hosted (you can upload files directly into the GetWealthStack email editor by clicking the attachment icon).
  • Save the Rule: Save the email, and then make sure to click Save rule to activate the automation.

Phase 3: Testing Your Machine

Never launch a funnel without testing it yourself.


  • Visit the Live Page: Go to the live URL of your Squeeze Page.
  • Opt-in: Enter your own email address and click the submit button.
  • Check Your Inbox: Go to your email inbox and verify that the automated email containing the lead magnet arrived instantly.

Never use a generic headline like "Subscribe to my newsletter." Your lead magnet should solve a micro-problem that naturally creates demand for your core product. For example, if you sell a $500 course on Facebook Ads, your free lead magnet should be a "Top 10 High-Converting Ad Headlines Cheat Sheet." Give them a quick win, and they will trust you enough to buy the full system.
