How to Create and Activate a Stripe Account (From Scratch)

Before you can connect Stripe to GetWealthStack and start turning your funnels into revenue, you need to actually have a Stripe account.

Stripe is the global gold standard for online business. It’s incredibly secure, handles recurring subscriptions flawlessly, and pays out straight to your bank account. The best part? Creating an account is completely free. They only take a small percentage when you actually make a sale.

If you don't have a Stripe account yet, follow this quick guide. It takes about 10 minutes to set up.

What you need before we begin:

To activate your account, Stripe requires some standard legal and financial information. Have these ready:

• Your business details (Legal name, address, and Tax ID / VAT number if applicable).
• Your personal details (Name, date of birth, and a photo of your ID or passport).
• Your bank account details (IBAN/Routing number) where you want Stripe to send your money.

Step 1: Create Your Free Account

1. Open a new tab and go to Stripe.com.
2. Click the Start now or Sign up button.
3. Fill in your email address, full name, country, and a strong password.
4. Click Create account.

Step 2: Verify Your EmailBefore you can do anything else, Stripe needs to know your email is real.

1. Check your email inbox for a message from Stripe.
2. Open it and click the Verify email address button.
3. You will be redirected back to the Stripe dashboard.

Step 3: Activate Payments (The Important Part)Right now, you have an account, but you can't accept real money yet. We need to activate it.

1. In your Stripe dashboard, look for the banner at the top or the button on the homepage that says Activate payments. Click it.
2. You will now enter the activation wizard. Stripe will ask you a series of questions about your business:

• Business structure: Are you a sole proprietor, LLC, or corporation?
• Business details: Industry, website (you can use your GetWealthStack custom domain here), and a brief description of what you sell.
• Personal details: They are legally required to verify your identity to prevent fraud.
• Fulfillment details: How quickly do you deliver your services or products?

Step 4: Add Your Bank Details for Payouts

Stripe needs to know where to send your hard-earned money.

1. In the final step of the activation wizard, you will be asked for your payout details.
2. Enter your bank account information (like your IBAN or Account/Routing number).
3. Set your payout schedule (most users leave this on the default setting, which automatically transfers funds to your bank daily or weekly).
4. Review all your information and click Submit.

Step 5: Connect It to Your "Machine"

Congratulations! Your Stripe account is now active and ready to process credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
